Growing Our Game, Growing Our Community: Announcing Four Key Partnerships

Posted on

Rugby4All is always growing the sport of rugby and the community that surrounds it. This fall, we’re taking that commitment to the next level. We are thrilled to announce a significant leap forward in our mission through four exciting new and continuing partnerships!

These collaborations are more than just agreements; they are shared commitments to expanding opportunities, building strong communities, and nurturing the next generation of leaders and athletes across our city.

1. Rugby4All x New York Cares: Bringing Rugby to More NYC Schools

We are proud to team up with New York Cares, a cornerstone of community service known for its vast volunteer network and dedication to NYC public schools. This partnership allows Rugby4All to branch into schools already benefiting from New York Cares’ after-school programs, introducing rugby to an even wider audience.

We’ve already seen amazing success, hosting two free clinics that buzzed with energy and excitement! With interest from six additional schools, we are eager to set up more clinics and explore starting regular rugby after-school programs throughout the Fall and Spring school years. Together, we’re not just teaching a sport; we’re providing pathways to physical activity, teamwork, and fun, all supported by incredible volunteers.

2. Rugby4All x Downtown Giants: Kicking Off a Flag Rugby Program

The future of youth rugby in downtown Manhattan is looking bright! We’re excited to announce our partnership with the Downtown Giants, a premier youth athletic organization. This collaboration is focused on building a vibrant flag rugby program for middle school and younger aged players.

Our initial summer clinic with the Downtown Giants was a resounding success, demonstrating a clear demand and enthusiasm for flag rugby in the area. We’ll be continuing these successful clinics into the fall as we work together to develop a robust, ongoing program. Get ready, downtown!

3. Rugby4All x Battery Park City Parks: Launching an 8-Week Fall Program!

After an incredibly successful summer clinic that saw over 30 eager young players join in, we’re thrilled to announce a sustained presence in the beautiful Battery Park City Parks! We are launching an 8-week fall program, specifically designed to build a foundational youth rugby program for the community.

This program, open to youth players aged 3-12, will run from September through October. It’s a fantastic opportunity for young athletes to learn the fundamentals of rugby in a fun, supportive environment. We can’t wait to see this program flourish and become a staple in Battery Park City!

4. Rugby4All x DeLaSalle Academy: Continuing a Legacy of Excellence

Some partnerships are too good to end, and we’re incredibly proud to continue our work with DeLaSalle Academy! Following their thrilling journey to the championship final in the Play Rugby Spring Tournament, DeLaSalle Academy has committed to further building their rugby program throughout the 2025-2026 school year.

Our focus will be on adding more competitions and expanding player participation, ensuring that even more students at DeLaSalle can experience the camaraderie, challenge, and joy of rugby. We’re excited to support their continued growth and future successes!

A Shared Vision for Youth Empowerment

These partnerships are a testament to the growing interest in rugby across New York City and to the shared vision we hold with these organizations: to empower youth through sport. Each collaboration opens new doors, reaches new communities, and strengthens the fabric of youth development in our city.

We extend our deepest gratitude to New York Cares, Downtown Giants, Battery Park City Parks, and DeLaSalle Academy for their trust and commitment. Together, we are building more than just rugby players; we are building confident, resilient, and community-minded young individuals.

Stay tuned for more updates on these exciting programs!
